In the latest Floodlit Dreams podcast, Steve Claridge joins Ian Ridley again to discuss the best and worst players he’s ever played with. Steve – as he likes to remind us – enjoyed a distinguished career that started at Fareham Town and peaked with a League Cup victory in 1997 while playing for Leicester City. He is currently manager of Salisbury FC.
The podcast also takes in Gareth Southgate and Jack Grealish, rotten turkeys at Aldershot and the Birmingham City player who reckoned he was “too attractive” to go to jail.
Ian first worked with Steve on his autobiography, Tales from the Boot Camps, and the pair reunited for Steve’s second book, Beyond the Boot Camps. This is the second podcast they’ve recorded for Floodlit Dreams. You can listen via anchor.fm/floodlit-dreams, or through hosts such as Apple, Google and Spotify.
